Someone afflicted with the disease of addiction and another mental health disorder (e.g. depression, anxiety, bipolar) has a "dual diagnosis". Both conditions must be treated simultaneously in order for either one to improve. Our clinic is one of the few with an in house Psychiatrist that can manage both disorders.
